With the adoption of each new pet, you will receive an Exclusive Item inside your pet’s gift box! In order to keep the pool of prizes fresh, we often update the available Exclusive Items with new stuff, while at the same time retiring some of the older ones.

Items like the Blue Dragster, Fancy Tea Service, Grandfather Clock and Stone Elephant Statue were among some of the very first Exclusive Items to be released and retired. Other items like the Mauna Loa Lamps had to be retired due to legal trademark issues.

If you love Webkinz, they are worth more than just the dollar value, but if you want to know what the dollar value is, here are some tips to help you figure that out.

Remember that the value can change at any time, though.

Step 1) assess your Webkinz.

Is it in new condition? No marks or damage? Are the tags sealed? Are the codes unused? Does it come from a smoke-free home (so there are no smoke odors on it)? Is it currently retired?

These things can all affect the value. For example, Cheeky dog goes for the most of any Webkinz currently and the prices have gone up a lot recently.

Step 2) Research what people are paying now.

Don't rely on old info about what someone got for their Webkinz 6 months ago or what someone says they think your Webkinz is worth. It is better to get some facts than opinions.

Check out the open auctions on ebay, but also check the completed listings to see what your Webkinz has actually sold for recently.

To do that you click on Advanced Search and then check completed listings only and also click on all items including store items and click submit. The auctions that show the price in GREEN actually sold for that amount. The auctions that show the price in RED asked for that amount, but didn't sell.

You can click on one of the completed auctions to compare the Webkinz that sold to yours or find out if it had unused codes.

On ebay you will get a range of prices that will give you an idea of the value.

You might also want to check the prices on Amazon.com to get some information, too.
